What is Ios' best sunset club all about?
Pathos Club in Ios describes itself as “an exclusive club blending luxury, hip, fun and party with genuine island warmth.”
Essentially, Pathos is Ios’ best sunset club with a pool, fire dancers, bottle-service and a nightly sunset ritual. It is open from 2pm until late every day in summer.

My number one tip: To book a table you have to buy a bottle of alcohol. So if you’ve got a couple of friends I recommend booking a table with the cheapest bottle (it’s 4 people per bottle).

Where is Pathos in Ios?
Pathos Club is located at Koumbara beach – about a 10-minute drive from Chora in Ios.
How do I get to Pathos in Ios?
You can get to Pathos by either driving, getting a taxi or jumping on the bus.
If you drive you will either need to leave your ATV or scooter and pick it up the next day, or not drink so you can drive home (I DON’T recommend drinking and driving afterwards).

Catching the bus to Pathos
The bus is the cheapest option to get to Pathos. It leaves from Chora twice per hour between 4pm and 11pm in peak season. Just remember you will need cash to get on. In 2023 the price was €1.60.
You can also get the bus back at the end of the night but be aware it gets busy in summer.
Getting a taxi to Pathos
If you’re heading to Pathos with a group, calling a taxi or transfer is a convenient option. Just remember that there aren’t many cars on the island so it’s a good idea to organise in advance.

How do I book a table at Pathos?
You can book a table on the Pathos https://pathoslounge.com/ website. Bookings open on June 1 2024 for the summer season.
In busy months (June, July and August) I recommend booking at least a day or two in advance so you’re guaranteed a spot.
Can I just turn up to Pathos without booking a table?
You can also sit down by the pool and order from the bar if you don’t want to book a table and bottle.
What do I wear to Pathos?
As one of the fanciest venues in Ios, heading to Pathos is an excuse to get dressed up!
For guys – A button-up shirt and shorts or pants. Shoes are up to you, a lot of guys still just wear birks or sliders.
For girls – feel free to bring out the long dresses, heels or cute outfits! But don’t worry some people are pretty casual too.
If you want to swim you can also go for beach club wear.
When should I get there?
I recommend getting to Pathos between 6 and 7pm to make the most of the afternoon. If you book a table you will have it for the entire night.
When is sunset in Ios?
In summer sunset is usually between 8:30 and 9pm.
What happens during sunset at Pathos?
The highlight of every Pathos afternoon is definitely the sunset ritual – you can’t miss it!
Once the sun dips below the horizon you will hear the iconic sunset ritual song. It’s a magical experience.
After the sunset song, they crank up the tunes and it turns into a party with a dance floor down by the pool.
What do you do after Pathos?
Most people choose to leave Pathos between 10pm and 12am to hit the strip in Chora.
If you are catching the bus or calling a Taxi, be aware it can get really busy with everyone heading back to the village!
